Objectives

The objectives of the SAFELTP are to provide

• Training in applied epidemiology and public health laboratory practice. Students acquire skills in problem solving through long-term (2-year) and short term competency-based training programmes.
• Service in epidemiology to national and sub-national health authorities in South Africa.
