Reported Deaths and Recoveries

Regrettably, we report 115 new COVID-19 related deaths: 12 from Eastern Cape, 43 from Gauteng, 11 from Northern Cape, 12 from Limpopo, 15 from KwaZulu Natal, 18 from Free State, and 4 from Western Cape. This brings the cumulative number of deaths to 14 678

We convey our condolences to the loved ones of the departed and thank the health care workers who treated the deceased.

The number of recoveries currently stands at 557 818 which translates to a recovery rate of 88%
